The National Park Service (NPS) has issued Amendment No. 1 for proposals in response to a solicitation for applications to provide Guided Diving on the B-29 Site in the Overton Arm of Lake Mead through the issuance of Commercial Use Authorizations (CUAs) within Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The NPS will issue up to two CUAs following a competitive selection process based on resource protection, ability to operate safely, and the ability to interact effectively with NPS staff. These CUAs will be authorized for a 2-year period, beginning approximately August 1, 2020, through July 31, 2022. Amendment No. 1 requires diving certificate and extends the solicitation to July 21, 2020. The updated CUA application package is attached to this solicitation announcement or can be requested by calling or emailing Nichelle Rich, CUA Program Manager, at (702) 293-8869 or nichelle_rich@nps.gov. Completed applications for a CUA to provide visitor services within Lake Mead National Recreation Area must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time on July 21, 2020, to be eligible for the CUA selection.
