The National Park Services (NPS) is soliciting for applications to provide guided hiking and astronomy tours through the issuance of Commercial Use Authorizations (CUAs) within the Summit District of Haleakala. The NPS will issue up to ten (10) CUAs following a competitive selection process based on resource protection, ability to operate safely, and the ability to interact effectively with NPS staff. These CUAs will be authorized for a 2-year period, beginning January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2024. The NPS issued this solicitation beginning October 7, 2022. The CUA application package is attached to this solicitation announcement or can be requested by emailing Noa Rachel Jackson, CUA Program Manager, HALE_Commercial_Manager@nps.gov. Completed applications for a CUA to provide these visitor services within Haleakala National Park must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. Hawai’i Standard Time on November 18, 2022, to be eligible for the CUA selection.
