The National Park Service (NPS), Mount Rainier National Park, is seeking sources towards acquiring supplies to measure trail systems within the Park. The Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Guidelines for Outdoor Developed Areas (ABAG) are now the law for Federal Lands as of November 26, 2013. Defined in the new law are trailhead signage requirements to display data that needs to be collected for each Outdoor Developed Area. The Park intends to purchase a "Wheeled Instrumentation Sensor Package (WISP) with High Efficiency Trail Assessment Process (HETAP)" as described on the attached justification. The automated assessment process allows for a single person to be able to collect data quickly and accurately, and thus eliminating a costly time-consuming process. This sources sought intends to identify similar products available for procurement. This sources sought is not a request for competitive proposals, however all e-mails received within 12 calendar days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for future related requirements. A determination not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested vendors are requested to submit contact information that at a minimum will include the following: (1) a reference to this Notice of Intent; (2) company name, address, telephone number and (if applicable) SAM.gov UEI registration number and website address; (3) the type of business (large or small); (4) the name, telephone number and e-mail address of a technical point of contact having the authority and knowledge to clarify responses with the Contracting Officer; (5) technical literature or a capabilities statement regarding the company's background, experience, qualifications and products. This procurement is being issued in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures; and Commercial Service (FAR Parts 13 and 12). Submission must be made by e-mail to: hal_hoversten@nps.gov by no later than Monday, February 20, 2023 at 3:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. All inquiries are to be in writing and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No entitlement of payment in either indirect or direct costs by the National Park Service will arise as a result of submission of responses to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this purchase order is 333310 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. FAR clauses applicable to this purchase order are 52.212-4 and 52.212-5.
