This posting serves as notification of the government's intent to issue a sole source purchase order. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Idaho State Office intends to award a sole source purchase order to acquire 1,664 (600 lbs) Woodstraw® bales. This product is needed to support Emergency Stabilization and Rehabilitation action in support of wildland fire incident that affect Human Health, Life and Safety. This action is authorized by and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The Government believes that the only responsible source capable of satisfying the agency's requirements is Forest Concepts as they have patented this engineered wood-strand erosion control material. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. If you believe your company can meet the requirement listed above, please contact Patricia A. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
