USGS is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of repairing and maintaining two natural-gas fired incinerators used for processing laboratory biohazardous materials. Services include an initial onsite assessment and repairs, factory-certified replacement parts, priority technical support, and additional maintenance visits to restore compliant performance. The contractor must begin work within one or two days after receiving a Notice to Proceed. This is a sources sought notice, not a solicitation, and responses will inform whether the requirement is set aside for small businesses or opened to full competition. Interested parties are invited to submit capability statements for consideration.
