This sources sought is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for quotes or proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. This sources sought notice has been issued to survey the market to identify possible sources for consideration. This notice is to assist the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) in determining potential sources. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. The Fish and Wildlife Service is conducting market research to seek sources for self-desiccating filter packs. These environmental DNA (eDNA) filters will be used for early detection of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS). Background: This project supports metabarcoding Early Detection and Monitoring (EDM) project. The program is being developed to aid Fish and Wildlife Conservation Offices to be more efficient in monitoring efforts and early detection of AIS.
