NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE - FL-SWFL GULF CSTL REF-MULCHER HEAD 2 - Statement of Need Description and Specifications CAT 299 D3 XPS High Flow Tracked Loader Mulcher Attachment Zone 5 Fire Requires a mulching head attachment to complete upcoming FY 2022 W.U.I. mechanical fuels projects throughout the zone to aid in RX fire operations. Below are the requirements for the forestry mulcher ¿ Must have a cutting width of 76 inches ¿ Overall width cannot be greater than 91 inches ¿ Must have an adjustable push bar for safely felling taller trees ¿ Cutting rotor diameter needs to be 18 inch in diameter ¿ Cutting rotor is to be equipped with Depth Cutting limiters and shear bars ¿ Cutting rotor must have knife style cutting tools that are reversable as well as made of material that can be sharpened in the field by operator. ¿ Price must include delivery to the local area, setup and tuning Specific to agency owned Cat 299 D3 XPS, as well as safety and maintenance training for the attachment. ¿ Bids must be for units that are currently in stock Send all responses to: Merenica_Banks@fws.gov RESPONSES DUE: 9/2/2022 @ 3PM ED.
