Secure Hybrid Composite Container The Government is considering a sole source contract award to provide continued research and development for the production of ISO certified dry-containers with six-sided intrusion detection, tracking, and reporting capabilities. The award is a follow-on requirement to 140D0420C0095 awarded to Global Secure Shipping, Inc. and specifically will provide additional shipping containers developed under the predecessor contract for environmental testing and further research and development based on that testing over a 30-month period. This sources sought is being issued to determine current capabilities in the market. Interested sources with the capability to provide the requirements referenced in this notice are invited to submit, in writing, sufficient information to demonstrate their ability to fulfill the stated requirement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive. All responses must include the following: Product specifications and analysis/testing results for a six-sided breach/intrusion detection capability in ISO certified maritime shipping containers, to include resin testing. Information on existing manufacturing and testing facilities for development of the containers. This sources sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Government.
