The objective of this requirement is to have the Contractor to perform trust fund research and distribution tasks that will result in or facilitate the accurate distribution of trust funds residing in TFAS Youpee Escheat Accounts and Special Deposit Accounts. Specifically, the Contractor will be required to perform extensive research to determine ownership of the principal trust fund deposits in Youpee Escheat Accounts and Special Deposit Accounts, to the allotment and/or escheat interest from which they were derived. In addition, the Contractor shall track these principal trust fund deposits to determine their status (i.e. distributed or not distributed). In coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), the Contractor's research will be provided (in a format to be determined by the COR) to the respective BIA office to help facilitate the BIA's distribution of these funds to the heirs of the decedent, whose land interests were "escheated." In certain instances, as instructed by the COR, the Contractor will be required to assist BIA offices with preparing distribution instructions, trust fund account documents, and TFAS work tickets.
