THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. In accordance with the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract with GelFire Systems, LLC. The BIA, Yankton Agency in Wagner, SD has a need for a GFS 50 Terra Torch with installation & training. The total estimated dollar value is $26,825.00. The National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Standards for Ground Ignition Equipment (February 2019) lists available sources that meet the standards for terra torches. The only manufacturer listed is GelFire Systems, LLC (formerly Firecon, Inc.). The only model listed that meets the Agency¿s requirement for a 50 gallon gel ground ignition device is the GFS 50 Terra Torch; this is the only model that meets the agency¿s needs. No solicitation is available, and no technical questions will be answered for this requirement. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 339999. If a firm believes that the BIA should not pursue this procurement, it should submit a capability statement, pricing information, and a LETTER OF SUPPLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER for the requirement by 12:00 PM CT on July 18, 2023.
