The Department of the Interior (DOI) Interior Business Center (IBC) intends to extend task order D14PD00250 for an additional six months. The six-month extension was not evaluated at time of award; therefore, an LSJ has been approved. Due to the lapse in appropriations, and the partial government shut down that ensued, there was a delay in the re-compete. This extension of the order is required to receive continued support while th re-compete is finalized. The six-month extension is being justified on the basis of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(C) - in the interest of economy and efficiency, the new work is a logical follow-on to an original Federal Supply Schedule order.
