The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposals around April 10, 2026, for a firm fixed-price contract to perform comprehensive dam safety modifications at the Heart Butte Dam near Elgin, North Dakota. The scope of work includes dewatering, cofferdam construction, foundation grouting, conduit rehabilitation, and the installation of new filter and drainage systems. The estimated construction cost is over $10,000,000. Work is anticipated to proceed 24 hours a day for six days a week. Responses to this pre-solicitation notice are requested by March 31, 2026.
