This request for information is open to all interested small businesses that are manufacturers of traveling fish screens. For the purpose of this inquiry, a small business is defined as a Small Business concern under NAICS Code 333998 ¿All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing¿. The Small Business Size Standard in number of employees is 700. The Government shall verify all submissions meet the small business requirement per the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) in addition to the Small Business Administration Dynamic Small Business Search website. The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Basin Region, has a requirement for 16 traveling fish screen systems. The fish screen in the Grand Valley Irrigation Company (GVIC) canal was the first large fish screen constructed on the Colorado River as part of the Upper Colorado River Endangered Fish Recovery Program (Recovery Program). The screen is located just downstream of the GVIC diversion headworks in the town of Palisade. GVIC diverts 640 cfs through the screen facility. An additional æ40 cfs is diverted to operate the fish bypass and returned to the river below the diversion. In addition, Clifton Water has a 20 cfs diversion right that has GVIC listed as an alternate point of diversion. The canal is typically operated from April 1st to November 1st each year and is dry during the winter months. The performance tasks for the requirement can be found within the attached file.
