Tour Guide Services for Glen Canyon Field Division The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Basin Region, has a requirement to provide guided tours of the Glen Canyon Dam and Powerplant and the Carl Hayden Visitors Center (CHVC) to the public. The Dam and Visitors Center is in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, approximately 1 mile West of Page, AZ. on Highway 89. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Parts 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a full and open competitive solicitation for this requirement. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME: The submission of any information in response to this pre-solicitation notice is purely voluntary. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Visitor’s Center is managed by the Bureau of Reclamation with cooperation from the National Park Service (NPS). Although this requirement is with Reclamation, the Contractor will be working with NPS and other government and non-government entities. Under normal conditions, the open hours for the Carl Hayden Visitor Center and minimum number of tours are: • May 15 through September 15: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 6 tours, up to 20 people each • September 16 through October 31: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 6 tours, up to 20 people each • November 1 through February 28: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; 4 tours, up to 20 people each • March 1 through May 14: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 6 tours, up to 20 people each • Closed Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year’s Days Please be aware that Page, Arizona has limited population and housing and is by a extremely popular recreation area, Lake Powell. Option Contract: The resulting contract will be for a base year with four option years plus a six-month extension for a maximum potential period of Performance of five years six months. Please see the attached draft performance work statement for details. The period of performance is expected to be a base year and four option years with a possible six month extension. Tours begin March 1, 2024. The NAICS code is 713990 with a size standard of $9 million.
