This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation where quotations will be requested. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-04 effective 6/2/2023. Solicitation Number 140R4023Q0091 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in accordance with FAR 12.603(c)(2)(ii). This requirement is synopsized and solicited under Full and Open Competition. The applicable NAICS code is 332911 with a business size standard of 750 employees. This Notice is Requesting Quotations under Full and Open Competition PURPOSE: The intent of this acquisition is to acquire new replacement valves and actuators with integral controllers for each pump on the system. A single type of actuator shall be provided to operate all valves, which will allow for ease of replacement and consistency during maintenance. The various torque and operating time requirements of each facility shall be met by supplying appropriate gearboxes to complete the valve/actuator assembly. For the purpose of this inquiry, the NAICS code of 332911 - Industrial Valve Manufacturing is utilized. The purpose of this Source Sought is to identify potential sources for the acquisition of valves, actuators, and gearboxes to support water pumping through irrigation lateral pipelines. BACKGROUND: The Bureau of Reclamation, Dolores Project located near Cortez, CO, has a requirement for Butterfly valves with electric motor operators/actuators and gear boxes connecting the actuator to the valve. The valves and actuators (electrical operators) support operations inside the water pumping plants, above the concrete floor, on discharge piping that feeds the irrigation lateral pipelines. SCOPE: The Dolores Project is seeking to acquire new, replacement valves and actuators with integral controllers for each pump on the system.
