The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region, has a requirement to provide guided tours of Glen Canyon Dam near Page, Arizona. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Part 12 and 13.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement. The solicitation is full and open competition with no set aside. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The principal components of the work to be performed include guided tours of the Glen Canyon Dam/Power Plant and Carl Hayden Visitors Center (CHVC) to the public. CHVC is located in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, approximately 1 mile West of Page, AZ on Highway 89. The visitors center is managed by the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) with cooperation from the National Park Service (NPS). Although this requirement is with Reclamation, the Contractor will be working with the NPS and other government and non- government entities. Open hours for the Carl Hayden Visitors Center and minimum number of daily tours are: Memorial Day through Labor Day: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; 13 tours up to 20 people each; March through May: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 7 tours, up to 20 people each; November through February: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; 4 tours, up to 20 people each ; Closed Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year¿s. The anticipated period of performance is April 1, 2020 thru March 31, 2025. The resulting contract will be for a base year, with options for four additional years, plus a six month extension, for a maximum potential period of performance of five years and six months. NAICS AND SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this project is 713990 All Other Amusement and Recreation Industry with a size standard of $8 million.
