Yuma Area Office Quarry Project PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Construction - Crushing and Stockpiling Gravel This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice with the intent of synopsizing a proposed contract action prior to issuance of the solicitation. Specific instructions on submitting proposal will be contained in the solicitation documents to be issued on or about July 17, 2023, posted to SAM.gov website. No documents will be available until the solicitation is issued. The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Basin, (LCB), Yuma Area Office (YAO), has a requirement for mobilizing to the designated quarry, processing and excavating rock into gravel and hauling the gravel into Bureau of Reclamation stockpile sites along the Colorado River. The proposed action is to mobilize to Ehrenberg quarry to crush 1-4-inch material to gravel then load, weigh, haul and stockpile material at site A120.8, 139.4 and A144.2. Contractor will be also maintaining all roads used to access and hauling the gravel. This requirement is restricted as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) identified for this action is 212319 - Other Crushed and Broken Stone Mining and Quarrying. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This requirement will be solicited and awarded using the method outlined in FAR Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 36 - Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts. The Government intends to award one (1) contract for this solicitation. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. The contract period will be 365 days. The solicitation and any amendments to the solicitation will be available through SAM.gov. All dates in this announcement are estimated and are subject to change.
