This purchase is for Floway Stainless Steel Shafts. The Floway Stainless Steel Shafts are for pumps already in place provided by Phoenix Pumps Inc. as they are the only shafts compatible with the existing systems used to produce ground water for the 242 Wellfield and to assist with the Facilities Maintenance Mission.

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Purchase of Floway Stainless Steel Shafts This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice with the intent of synopsizing a proposed contract action prior to issuance of the solicitation. Specific instructions on submitting proposal will be contained in the solicitation documents to be issued on or about March 13, 2023, posted to SAM.gov website. No documents will be available until the solicitation is issued. The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Basin, (LCB), Yuma Area Office (YAO), intends to negotiate and award a contract on a non-competitive basis, to Phoenix Pumps Inc., 5100 S. 36th Street Phoenix, AZ 85040-3801. YAO has a requirement for Floway Stainless Steel Shafts to be used for the 242 Wellfield expansion. The proposed action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authorities of FAR 13.501 and FAR 6.302-1(c). Floway is the brand of shafts previously used for the pumps already in place and provided by Phoenix Pumps, Inc. These are the only shafts compatible with the existing systems used to produce ground water for the 242 Wellfield and to assist with the Facilities Maintenance Mission. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) identified for this action is 333914 - Measuring, Dispensing & other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees. This requirement will be solicited and awarded using the method outlined in FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Award will be Sole Source to Phoenix Pumps. The Government intend to award one (1) Sole Source contract for this solicitation. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. The contract delivery period will be 240 days. The solicitation and any amendments to the solicitation will be available through SAM.gov. All dates in this announcement are estimated and are subject to change. On other information will be available before the solicitation is posted.
