This is a sources sought notice and is for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This is NOT a request for proposal, quotations, or bids. The Department of the Interior, Interior Region 10 - California Great Basin, Division of Acquisitions, requests responses from Small Business, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), HUBZONE, and/or Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), or Other than Small Business (Large Business) contractors interested in the supply of McCrometer¿s flow meter and accessories. The proposed contract type is a Firm-Fixed Price approximate delivery of product is 30 days after date of award. This is a brand name procurement. The product must meet all the following salient characteristics. 1. Accuracy/Repeatability + or - 2% of reading guaranteed throughout full range 2. Impeller shaft is 3/16" stainless steel. Ball bearings are 440C stainless steel 3. An instantaneous flowrate indicator and six-digit straight-reading totalizer are standard. The register is hermetically sealed with in a die cast aluminum case. The protective housing includes a domed acrylic lens and a hinged lens cover with locking hasp. 4. Propellers are manufactured of high-impact plastic, retains their shape and accuracy over the life of the meter. 5. Max Plus Rate 10,000 Hz 6. Memory 500,000 readings 7. Report rate 1/sec-1-24 fours 8. Battery life = 10 years (depending on frequency/duty) 9. Communication-FFC200Interface USB w/cable The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334514 Totalizing Fluid Meter and Counting Device Manufacturing which has an associated small business size standard of 850 Employees. Your company¿s intent to submit a quote should a solicitation be issued. Responses to this notice are strictly for market research purposes and will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a request for quote or ultimately award a contract nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any a request for quotation is issued.
