This is a synopsis of an upcoming solicitation, 140R1723Q0038, Elevator Repair in Yakima, Washington. The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region intends to solicit quotes for a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Item contract. The purpose of this acquisition is to acquire services for the following: During the annual maintenance, it was identified that the elevator in the Yakima Field Office had a sheeve that had been rubbed down and the elevator was rubbing on metal, so a new sheeve needs to be installed. The control sensors that allow the car to be called to the 3rd floor from the ground flood was not activating. This made it impossible to request the elevator to the upper floors unless someone took it there from the ground floor. The elevator is a Montgomery-Kone and services three floors. Pursuant to FAR Part 12, 13 of the Federal Acquisition regulations, Reclamation intends to issue a written Request for Quotation (RFQ) through sam.gov. The Request for Quote will be issued as a 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, with a Small Business Size Standard of $11 Million. We anticipate issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) by End of May, but all dates in this notice are subject to change. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site. The anticipated closing date is the second week in June. The anticipated award date is the fourth week of June. Reclamation will consider all responsible sources who submit a timely quote that conforms to the solicitation. Any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to the closing date of the solicitation.
