Presolicitation Notice - Stoplogs for Pump Generating Plant The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) Reclamation has a need for a second set of stoplogs for the Pump Generating Plant (PGP) in Grand Coulee, Washington. Work includes fabricating, coating, and delivering steel stoplogs to the John W. Keys III PGP at Grand Coulee Dam, Washington 99133 in accordance with Specifications. This acquisition is 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 332312: Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 500employees. The product service code is 5450: Miscellaneous Prefabricated Structures. Reclamation intends to award one firm-fixed-price contract. The anticipated date to issue the Request for Quote, 140R1723Q0029, (written) is approximately the second week in July 2023. The anticipated closing date is the first week in August. The anticipated award date is the Third week in September, but all dates in this notice are subject to change. Prospective vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to the closing of this solicitation. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site. This service will be purchased in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, simplified acquisition procedures apply. All firms responding to this Sources Sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research. The Government will entertain question concerning this market research. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of business to provide a second set of stoplogs for the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington State which reasonably match the current set of stoplogs. The set consists of 11 stoplogs, four lower tier, four intermediate tier, and three upper tier. General Scope of Work: Fabricate and furnish a second set of stoplogs for Grand Coulee Dam. 1. Preparing required submittals 2. Fabricating steel components 3. Furnishing commercially available items including bolts, nuts, neoprene bulb seals, leaf springs, and coil springs. 4. Weld inspection 5. Shop testing 6. Coating 7. Assembly 8.
