This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this Sources Sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain question concerning this market research. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of business to provide a CNC or NC Box and Pan Brake according to the following specifications. - Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) or Numerically Controlled (NC) with manual and semi-automatic modes - New, Complete, and Functional with latest software version available - Programmable bending auto-stop for exact repeatability - Numerically-controlled back gauge to control the distance between bends efficiently and reduce human error - Automated clamping, bending and beam opening after the bend option is required - Include foot pedal control system - Industrial-grade drive for the bend leaf - Greaseable joints for maintenance - Adjustable bending speed and clamping pressure - Welded steel construction - Minimum 10 foot (120 inches) bending width capability - Bending mild steel capacity of up to 10-gauge thickness - Bending stainless-steel capacity of up to 12-gauge thickness - Bend angle range of 0-135 degrees - Box depth of minimum of 6 inches - Include assorted finger sizes in 3¿,4¿,5¿ and 6¿ widths - Shall be able to be powered by 208vac 3 phase power. If needed, a buck-boost transformer included to adjust for proper voltage is acceptable, for example, Larson part # MT-BBT-208d-220d-3p-20.83a or equivalent Potential offers having technical capabilities necessary to meet the needs of the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via email. The capability statement must include the following: 1) Company name and point of contact information. 2) DUNS Number 3) Business size whether large or small. If small please provide size/certification (to include 8(A), HUBZONE, SDVOSB, ETC.) 4) Brief explanation of the type of CNC or NC Box and Pan Brake equipment your company manufactures or resells and its capabilities. 5) If reselling, include the brand, company name, and place of manufacture of the equipment you are reselling Responses are due no later than 13:00 AM, ET, Tuesday, January 21, 2020, and shall be electronically submitted to Terry Mest at tmest@usbr.gov. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be mad for any cost associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
