This is a SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis to request information for market research and planning purposes. This announcement is not a solicitation and does not constitute a request for quotes, proposals, or bids. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to identify and collect information on potential sources of supply for high voltage circuit breakers as described herein. Responses to this announcement will be used by the Government in planning and making acquisition decisions. This announcement also serves as a notice of the Governments intent is to issue a solicitation for the supplies described herein using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, in conjunction with part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code to be used for this requirement is 335313 - Switchgear and Switchboard Apparatus Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 200 employees. The Government is seeking to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of both small and large businesses. The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking firms with the qualifications and capability to supply two (2) 138 kV, 3-pole, sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas insulated circuit breakers; supply spare parts; and provide installation oversight in accordance with Attachment 1 - Specifications. Drawings referenced in the draft specifications will not be available for reference under this announcement. If your company is interested and can demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the equipment summarized above, we encourage you to respond to this announcement with a statement of your qualifications and capability. In response, please provide: 1. Company information including name, Unique Entity Identification (UEI), address, points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. 2. Business size/classification to include any designations as Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, Woman owned, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, or 8(a). 3. Description of your company's capability to supply the circuit breakers, comply with submittals, conduct all tasks in the attached draft specifications. Include what locations of the statement of work your company is able to provide services for and what services can be provided in the following factors. 4. Description of experience on contracts with similar requirements, describing no more than three (3) contracts completed within the past 5 years of the issue date of this announcement.
