This is a Revised SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE and is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran owned, and Women owned Small Business firms. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The proposed award will be to design, manufacturer, test, and deliver to Palisades Dam two (2) 90-inch diameter Jet-Flow Gates (JFG) and appurtenances. The two (2) hollow-jet valves are the primary valves used to regulate flows through the dam during the summer operating months. They are winterized during the winter months. The two (2) hollow-jet valves serve as the dedicated primary make-up valves for the generator units. The two (2) hollow-jet valves have reached the end of their life and will be replaced with two (2) 90-inch diameter jet-flow gates furnished under this contract. The Governments intent is to issue a solicitation as an Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services under FAR Parts 12 and 15. The solicitation, if appropriate, may contain an Economic price adjustment clause as well as commercial interim payments. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 332911, Industrial Valve Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 750. Responses are requested with the following information, which shall not exceed a total of 20 pages: 1. Contractors' name, address, points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses and UEI number (to verify business size in SAM.gov). 2. Business size/classification to include any designations as Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, Woman owned, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, or 8(a) shall be indicated on first page of submission. 3. Description of capability to conduct all tasks in the attached draft statement of work. Include what locations of the statement of work your company is able to provide services for and what services can be provided in the following factors. Capability factors: Manufacturer of JFG: Having designed and manufactured JFG designs in the past 20 years which were successfully built, installed, and remain in service. 4. Past performance/experience on contracts of similar scopes of work, describing no more than three (3) contracts completed within the past 20 years of the issue date of this Sources Sought Notice. The past performance information shall include project title, location, general description of the services to demonstrate relevance to the proposed project, the contractors' role, dollar value of contract, and name of the company, agency or government entity for which the work was performed with contact information (reference name, phone number and e-mail address). If submitting past performance/experience on a project in the role of a subcontractor, include the Prime Contractor's name and a quantifiable amount (percentage) of the project your company contributed to the overall scope of work.
