This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran owned, and Women owned Small Business firms. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The Bureau of Reclamation, Columbia Pacific Northwest Region, is in need of goat grazing services to contain dominance of leafy spurge in Cartier Slough Wildlife Management Area (WMA). Leafy spurge and noxious weed has been present on WMA vegetation for over 25 years. About 800 acres of the 1,026-acre WMA has some degree of leafy spurge infestation. Prescribed goat grazing has been used as it¿s an effective weed control technique that is useful in utilizing and subsequently controlling many noxious weeds. The goal of this project is to stop the spread and reduce the amount of leafy spurge in the vegetation for 800 acres of the 1,026-acres at WMA. Contractor will need to provide up to 1,000 goats for a duration of one month to meet the project requirements. The objective is to apply heavy grazing pressure on spurge infestations, reduce seed production, and design a grazing plan to address requests provided by WMA. The proposed contract duration will be three (3) years. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 112420 with a Small Business Size Standard of $1 Million. Responses are requested with the following information, which shall not exceed a total of twenty pages (page count does not include suggest revisions to the statement of work): 1. Contractors' name, address, points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses to include company¿s DUNS for business size clarification. 2. Business size/classification to include any designations as Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, Woman owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, or 8(a) shall be indicated on first page of submission. 3. Description of capability to conduct all tasks in the attached draft statement of work. Include what locations of the statement of work your company is able to provide services for and what services can be provided. NO RESPONSES WILL BE ACCEPTED BY FAX.
