The ... The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 13 and FAR 12. The National Park Service, Alaska Regional Office, intends to issue a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and/or purchase order awards to Telonics Inc. for terrestrial GPS/satellite tracking devices, both new and refurbished. Telonics is the only known GPS/ Iridium radio collars manufacturer capable of providing data that can be decrypted by the online software systems developed by the Alaska Regional GIS Team and now in place. Additionally, only Telonics can refurbish currently deployed Telonics collars. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334220 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1250 employees. This is not a request for competitive quotes, but serves as a procurement notice to fulfill public posting requirements in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotations received in response to this notice; however any firm that believes they have capabilities to provide these supplies item may give written notification to the Contracting Officer at darcy_skinner@nps.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed order based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
