The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to the U.S. National Park Service (NPS) Office of its requirement for the repair or replace of roofing on various structures at Alcatraz Island, Golden Gate National Recreation Area San Francisco, CA. Authority: NPS is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-Solicitation Notice. Description: NPS requires services from a contractor with the experience and technical capability to provide repair or replace of roofing. The National Park Service (NPS) requires the above identified services to support the need for repair or replacement of 4 roofs on Alcatraz. Dock Restroom - Clean debris and repair water damage in sheathing in clay tile roofing system. Barracks Building (AL-64) - Repair aluminum corrugated panel roofing system. Electric Shop (AL-89) ¿ Replace transite corrugated panel roofing system with corrugated fiber cement roofing system. Metal Detector Building (¿DS¿) ¿ Replace rolled roofing system and flashing. Place of Performance: Alcatraz Island, Golden Gate National Recreation Area San Francisco, CA. Competitive Acquisition: It is anticipated that this will be a competitive acquisition 100% set-aside for small business participation. Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance is (40) FOURTY days from the notice to proceed (NTP) date. Release of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that the release of Solicitation No. 140P8622R0012 is anticipated to be released around June 13, 2022. Should there be any issues arising for this solicitation, the Contracting Officer will provide an update via https://www.sam.gov.
