The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to the U.S. National Park Service (NPS) Office of its requirement for the replacement of interior finishes at Fort Funston Bldg. 101 Golden Gate National Recreation Area San Francisco, CA. Authority: NPS is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-Solicitation Notice. Description: NPS requires services from a contractor with the experience and technical capability to provide replacement of building finishes. The action is necessary to bring existing under-used buildings to full use and to return a Quarters (Quarters 14) to park housing stock. This is standard construction for the Government, and similar projects have been purchased in the past. Place of Performance: Fort Funston Bldg. 101 Golden Gate National Recreation Area San Francisco, CA. Competitive Acquisition: It is anticipated that this will be a competitive acquisition 100% set-aside for small business participation. Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance is (120) one hundred twenty days from the notice to proceed (NTP) date. Release of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that the release of Solicitation No. 140P8622R0008 is anticipated to be released around May 12, 2022. Should there be any issues arising for this solicitation, the Contracting Officer will provide an update via https://www.sam.gov.

The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified SMALL BUSINESS sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. It is incumbent upon the interested party to review www.sam.gov for updates on this notice. The National Park Service (NPS) in the Pacific West Region (PWR) is conducting market research to understand the numbers and types of contractors who have the capability and are interested in conducting Replacement of Interior Finishes work at Fort Funston Building 101, GOGA San Francisco, CA. The U.S. Department of Interior, National Park Service is contemplating the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) Replacement of Interior Finishes service identified in the attached Specifications. Please submit capability statement no later than the time specified in the notice. Submission should not be more than ten (10) pages plus cover sheet.
