Notice of Award 140P8620P0054 The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area Major Acquisition Buying Office in San Francisco, CA awarded a Firm Fixed Price purchase order 140P8620P0054 to Cross Link, Inc., Pier 50 Building C, San Francisco, CA 94158 for water taxi services to and from Pier 33 to Alcatraz Island for Security Guards. This Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other than Full and Open Competition is written in accordance with AP&P 1443.06-01 to document the Unusual and Compelling Urgency as stated in FAR 6.302-2. Due to the urgent need a verbal authorization to start services was given on May 1, 2020. The award was executed on May 5, 2020. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 483212, Inland Water Passenger Transportation. In accordance with FAR 5.202, Exceptions ¿(2) The proposed contract action is made under the conditions described in 6.302-2(or, for purchases conducted using simplified acquisition procedures, if unusual and compelling urgency precludes competition to the maximum extent practicable) and the Government would be seriously injured if the agency complies with the time periods specified in 5.203.¿ This acquisition is exempt from posting a synopsis as this is procured under FAR 6.302-2. This notice is in accordance with FAR 6.305, Availability of the Justification as it shall be posted within 30 days after contract award.
