The National Park Service (NPS) at Redwood National Park (REDW) has a requirement for the supply and installation of a Directional Felling Head Saw. According to the USDA Forest Service publication: Forest Operations Equipment Catalog, Felling Heads are attachments built to be mounted either to a boom or to the chassis on a base carrier. Felling heads are capable of cutting and felling single stems with no processing capabilities. See attachment 1, Specifications, for details. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333120, with a corresponding size standard of 1,250 employees. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotations are solicited only from small business concerns. Quotations received from concerns that are not small business concerns will not be considered. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed-price purchase order resulting from this solicitation. Evaluation for award will be made in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures outlined in FAR Part 13.106. The Government anticipates issuing an order resulting from this request for quotation to the responsible quoter whose quotation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered as listed in the Request for Quotation. Refer to provisions and clauses and other attachments for additional information about this requirement and instructions on how to submit a quotation. FAR 52.225-1, Buy American-Supplies, applies to this acquisition. Submit questions only through email to jack_northcutt@nps.gov. Please insert the RFQ Number, 140P8424Q0062 in the subject line.
