This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for the supply and delivery of commercial items, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The National Park Service (NPS) contemplates award of a firm fixed-price purchase order as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible quoter whose quotation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. 1. DESCRIPTION. The National Park Service (NPS), Crater Lake National Park (CRLA), located in Klamath County, Oregon has a requirement for the supply and delivery of a wheel loader, John Deere 644X (or Equal). This procurement is to replace aging snow removal equipment using a brand name or equal purchase description, augmented by a list of salient characteristics and specifications. This Request for Quotations (RFQ) includes a manufacturer and model number that meets the government's requirements along with a list of salient characteristics. (c) Options. The Government will evaluate quotations for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that a quote is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). Quote MUST be good for 30 calendar days after close of this solicitation. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. 5.
