Response... Repair Oshkosh Truck Mount Rotary Snow Blower This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for the purpose of conducting market research. Proposals are NOT being requested nor accepted at this time. Responses are being requested from small businesses. Purpose: The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge regarding the type of interested businesses and their qualifications. The National Park Service (NPS) will use information obtained through this notice to develop an acquisition strategy. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will assist us in determining if a small business or other socio-economic set-aside will be appropriate for the solicitation. DESCRIPTION: The NPS has a requirement for the repair of a 2010 OSHKOSH Model H3226B Truck Mounted Snow Blower, Serial Number 10TBFAP19AS120098. The blower drive engine clutch is leaking hydraulic fluid through the blower engine clutch shaft. Repairs will require the removal of the drop box from the blower engine, disassembly of the clutch, and diagnosis and repair of the leak issue. The blower motor engine cowling may need to be removed for engine access as well as the driveshaft from the drop box. Consult the HRB Series Service Manual, revision 5HR-2, available from Oshkosh Airport Product Support (SNOW Documents) for details. The Contractor will also be responsible for transportation to their repair facility via lowboy and back to Crater Lake National Park when repairs are complete. This vehicle weighs approximately 49,680 lbs. with dimensions of 417 inches long, 110 inches wide, and 151 inches high.
