This is an amendment to a previously issued Request for Quotations (RFQ) no. 140P8323Q0084 to supply, deliver, and install a diesel prime generator, diesel fuel tank, battery storage vault and inverter to be used for the primary electrical power system at the Staircase Rapids area of Olympic National Park (OLYM). This Amendment no. 3 is the final amendment being issued for this solicitation and is necessary to provide two more hours to submit a quote today and to provide a FINAL QUESTION/ANSWER as a follow-on to the question asked in Amendment 2 from this morning, about the load balancer. FINAL QUESTION: Apparently there are two types of load balancers, one that can be installed in/on the generator unit and one that is a stand-alone for the generator unit and which does the Government prefer? ANSWER: The Government prefers that the load balancer be installed in/on the unit, be part of the prime generator. However, because there is a price difference between the two types where the one that's included in the generator is typically more expensive than the one that is a stand-alone, Government is asking quoters to include both options in their quote and Government will make decision on which to select and include in the award. Due to limited time left before quotes are due, this amendment will not change the Price Schedule line items in Attachment 1 so quoters are asked to please include the additional pricing in their quote as requested here. Quoters shall write in their additional pricing in Attachment 1, Section 2 Price Schedule as follows: Write in Line Item 8 Load Balancer Included in Generator as lump sum amount and write in Line Item 9 Stand Alone Load Balancer in lump sum amount. Please also include product information such as product cut sheet and/or specs about the load balancer unit so that Government can verify it meets our requirement. Response date is changed to allow two additional hours today for submitting quotes. Quotes are due by 7pm PD on 9/20/23. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
