This is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the National Park Service, Olympic National Park. The work of this contract is to construct a slab foundation for a family restroom at the Kalaloch Campground Comfort Station Loop D. Project site is located at Olympic National Park, Kalaloch Campground, U.S. Highway 101, Forks, WA 98331. Refer to Attachment 4, Specifications, which includes site map information. Search contract opportunities by entering solicitation number is 140P8323Q0043. PRE-QUOTE SITE VISIT. An organized pre-quote site visit will not be scheduled. We believe sufficient project description, site location, sample foundation photos are in the Specifications for interested parties to make their own individual site visits if they choose. Contractors wishing to visit the site on their own should give project point of contact David Weaver a heads-up you¿ll be in the area looking around. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE. NPS anticipates awarding the contract by mid-September 2023. Due to Marbled Murrelet nesting season, work can only be performed between September 23rd to March 31st. The park will close the campground loop to the public for up to 45 calendar days so that the contractor has exclusive use of the site. Contractor is advised to install a temporary, locked barrier to prevent vehicular and pedestrian traffic into the construction zone during the closure. NOTE: Period of performance is from September 25, 2023 to March 31, 2024. This is the total time that contractor must start and finish all work. After the pre-construction meeting, and as scheduled with the Contracting Officer¿s Representative (COR), once onsite work begins, the Government anticipates contractor can complete all work within a 90 day period. OTHER INFO. This project is being solicited and awarded as a total (100%) Small Business set-aside. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 238110, Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors, with an associated small business size standard of $19 million. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is $25,000 to $100,000. This is not the Government estimate. Government has anticipated this requirement to be between $45,000 to $65,000. CONTACT THE CONTRACTING OFFICER FOR ALL QUESTIONS.
