This is an amendment to a previously synopsized Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the National Park Service, Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument for a professional conservator to provide conservation treatment and stabilization of historic papers, primarily mining claims. Refer to all attachments to this solicitation available in SAM.gov. This Amendment no. 0002 is necessary to extend the response date of the solicitation and include a revised Statement of Work. The solicitation response date is changed from "6 pm PDT September 13, 2022" to "6 pm PDT on September 20, 2022." The Statement of Work was revised to include new text for allowing shipment of the museum objects (papers) from Hagerman Fossil Beds to the Contractor's location for performing the conservation treatment, and then shipping the documents back to Hagerman when treatment is completed. Some travel to Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument may be necessary, especially after award for getting a first-hand look at the documents and current condition (quoter shall factor any travel they anticipate doing in their quoted price). Attachment no. 3, Statement of Work, is hereby replaced by Attachment no. 5, Revised Statement of Work. The new text about shipping of the papers is included in Attachment 5, Revised Statement Work, in Article III, Task 5. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE. Government anticipates the contractor/vendor could start work on/about October 3, 2022 and complete within four months, by 1/31/23. However, quoter shall include their proposed project schedule including proposed start date should October 3rd not be possible.
