Amendment 0001 to Request for Quotes #140P8321Q0065 transmits: Attachment F-Site Visit Notes, Attendees and Answer to Questions The solicitation closing date remains 1700 PD on August 25, 2021 Request for Quotations #140P8321Q0065 is a project that will replace the existing propane powered 5-ton HVAC unit (Model No. RKKA-A060JK13E) with equal to or better than the existing Rheem HVAC unit. The new HVAC unit must also be powered by propane and must heat and cool approximately 2800 square feet of the 4000 square foot Big Hole National Battlefield visitor center. All existing ducting and all associated components must be inspected by contractor for compatibility with the replacement HVAC units manufacturer specifications. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, permits, insurance, fees, lodging and transportation, per-diem, and the disposal of any waste generated by this project to perform the work. A staging area will be determined during the preconstruction meeting at the work site. Electrical power, water and restrooms are available. Target work period is autumn 2021. PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located at 16425 Highway 43 W., Wisdom, Montana 59761 inside Big Hole National Battlefield Visitor Center, part of Nez Perce National Historical Park. The visitor center has two heating systems. One system is an energy efficient propane boiler that heats two thirds of the building. The other system is a propane forced air heat and cooling system that serves the museum, auditorium, and information desk area. The forced air system was built in 2001 and installed in 2002. It is beginning to show wear. In 2007 the blower and fan on the system were replaced and in 2013 several relays were replaced. The heating and cooling elements in this unit are built into casing and the manufacturer recommends replacement of the entire unit every 15 to 20 years. This project would replace the forced air unit. DETAILS: This is a best value procurement set-aside for small business concerns in accordance with FAR Part 19.5. The NAICS code for this project is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. To qualify as a small business under this NAICS code, the firm must be organized as for-profit, with average annual gross revenue for the past five years under $16.5 million. All work will be performed under a single firm fixed price contract subject to the Contract Wage Requirements (Construction). In accordance with FAR Part 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.
