Synopsis: The National Park Service, ConOps West, has a requirement for the construction and installation of Fiber Optic Cable Route within Lake Mead National Recreation Area. A fiber optic cable route with a minimum 12 pair Cable will be installed from the Alan Bible Visitors Center to the south side of Great Basin Highway via directional boring to an NV DOT Fiber Optic Cable Vault and from the Safety-First IT Server Room to second Fiber Optic Cable vault on the south side of Great Basin Highway via an existing conduit. In addition to cable placement the project also includes cable splicing in which the new cable will be spliced into NV DOT Identified dark fiber optic cable strands at both vault locations for the purpose of creating a single fiber optic cable connection from the Safety-First IT Server room to the Alan Bible Visitors Center to provide a reliable DOI Network connection. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 238210 with a size standard of $19 million. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. This project will be solicitated as a total small business Set-Aside. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. Place of performance will be Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Clark County near Boulder City, NV. The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued on/or about July 7th, 2025, and will be posted to SAM.gov. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a Unique Entity ID (UEI). Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date.
