The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to the U.S. National Park Service (NPS) Office of its requirement for the sewer force main replacement at Cottonwood Cove Lake Mead National Recreation Area (NRA). Authority: NPS is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-Solicitation Notice. Description: NPS requires services from a contractor with the experience and technical capability to provide sewer force main replacement services. Replace schedule 40 sewer force main with a compliant C900 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe. The pipeline was originally installed before 2005 and has surpassed its life cycle. Place of Performance: Cottonwood Cove, Searchlight, NV which is located within Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LAKE NRA). Competitive Acquisition: It is anticipated that this will be a competitive acquisition 100% set-aside for small business participation. Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance is (152) one hundred fifty two days from the notice to proceed (NTP) date. Release of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that the release of Solicitation No. 140P8121R0011 is anticipated to be released around June 03, 2021.
