PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Box Culvert Installation for the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for installation of a water crossing solution to Sandpoint Road that will be comprised of a single 4-foot wide x 10-foot long box culvert with a natural bottom and a replacement section of road. The required fill over the top of structure shall retain the existing roadway elevation. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6425B0002 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by April/May 2025 with performance to begin in summer 2025. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237310, and the size standard is $45 million. This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued and available mid/late March 2025 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities . All costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy determination based on the results of this market survey. Contractor must be registered as a small business under the listed socio-economic categories in SAM (System for Award Management) under NAICS code 237310 to be considered/confirmed. This market research is being conducted to acquire additional information about potential contractors that may be interested in performing this work.
