THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME ONLY AND FULL AND OPEN SOLICITATION AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL: The National Park Service intends to solicit a quote for a Bobcat T86 Skid Steer Track Loader and Attachments. A Brand Name Requirement is necessary as the park has many other existing attachments that are only compatible with Bobcat vehicles in their fleet. These attachments have electrical hook ups which are not compatible with other manufacturers vehicles. Additionally, based on market research this is being opened to Full and Open Competition as there is no expectation that any Large or Small Business other than Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc would be able to provide the required product or offer a competitive rate since Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc offers a 30% reduction in pricing which no local authorized dealer is able to provide or match.
