PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Contracting Operations Central, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the Rehabilitation of Coast Guard Station project for Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for the Rehabilitation of Coast Guard Station. Work will include but not limited to: selective demolition, siding, roofing, window replacement, shutters, paint removal and application, woodwork, and some plaster/drywall. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6424B0002 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by April 2024 with performance to begin in May/June 2024. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238990, and the size standard is $19 million. This project is set aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (IFB) and its attachments will be issued and available mid-March 2024 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities . All costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy determination based on the results of this market survey. Prime contractors interested in working at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore the work will consist of: Providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for Rehabilitation of Coast Guard Station. We anticipate that work would begin in late April/early May 2024. The NAICS code for this project is 238990, All other specialty Trade Contractors, with a small business size standard of $19M. The Magnitude of Construction anticipated is between $500,000 and $1M. Interested contractors should also consider their construction bonding capacities when responding. Contractor must be registered as a small business under the listed socio-economic categories in SAM (System for Award Management) under NAICS code 238990 to be considered/confirmed.
