PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Repair Fire Department Connection project for the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Site in Dayton, OH. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to: 1. Building 16 FDC a. Unthread FDC from pipe b. Clean threads and inspect c. Replace pipe as needed d. Seal threads and reinstall FDC e. Hydrostatic test FDC f. Provide and install safety caps on connections 2. Building 30 FDC a. Cut remove approximately 16 SF concrete sidewalk to expose FDC pipes b. Replace broken Pipe approximately 2 LF c. Inspect elbow and riser replace as necessary d. Prep ground for replacement of sidewalk encasing FDC e. Repour concrete sidewalk approximately 4 in tapered away from foundation and steps f. Broom finish to match existing sidewalk g. Hydrostatic Test FDC¿s SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6421R0037 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Less than $25,000 TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by August 2021, with performance to begin in August/September 2021. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Montgomery County, OH will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238110, and the size standard is $16.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available early August 2021 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM.gov/FBO website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities . The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a DUNS number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
