PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3,4 & 5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Roads and Trails Roof Replacement project at Indiana Dunes National Park in Chesterton, IN. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for demolishing all existing asphalt shingles, gutters (if installed), and any applicable roofing materials associated with these facilities. Install new standing metal seam roof panels, gutters (if previously installed) and all required roof materials to include but not limited to all edge and penetration flashing on buildings listed below. Existing Motor Shop roof is to be sealed at all seams and penetrations to extend its life expectancy. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6421R0032. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000 and $250,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by July 2021 with performance to begin in late July 2021. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Porter County, IN will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238160, and the size standard is $16.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available mid/late June 2021 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/beta.SAM/FBO website at https://beta.sam.gov/search?index=opp . The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a DUNS number.
