PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3,4 & 5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Renovate Sewer System project for the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for septic system upgrades at three (3) locations within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Sand Point HQ will include demo of the existing septic tanks & lift station including electrical components, abandoning the existing mound system, installation of a new septic tank, lift station, forcemain, electrical & alarm system, and mound disposal system. Miners Castle will include demo of the existing septic tanks, old overflow tank, & lift stations including electrical components, abandoning the existing mound system, installation of a new septic tank, lift station, gravity main, forcemain, electrical & alarm system, and mound disposal system. Sullivan¿s Cabin will include demo of the existing septic tank and abandoning the existing drainfield, installation of a new septic tank, lift station, forcemain, electrical & alarm system, and mound disposal system. We anticipate that work would begin in July 2021. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6421R0016 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early July 2021 with performance to begin in July 2021. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237110, and the size standard is $39.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
