PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3,4 & 5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Maintenance Facility Roofing Project at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to remove approximately 11,000 square feet of roofing for the maintenance building and approximately 4,400 square feet for the ten bay garage then replacing asphalt roofing, damaged substrate sheathing, installation of ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, metal drip edge, valley flashing, flashing pipe boots, end wall flashing, required venting, complete wood fascia replacement (Approximately 1250 linear feet), and replacement of approximately 312 linear feet of gutters and approximately 100 linear feet of downspouts with seamless gutters and downspouts to include Superior gutter guards or approved equal. Remove approximately 60 linear feet of existing soffit screen. Cut new opening and install new 24-gauge stainless steel screen at soffit. Install roof ventilators (2) for accurate evacuation of attic accumulated stale air and moisture. It is anticipated that 3200 square feet of deteriorated roof decking will require replacement. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6420R0024. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000 and $250,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by mid July 2020 with performance to begin in late July 2020. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238160, and the size standard is $16.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
