PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed price contract for work to provide all labor, equipment and material necessary to replace the HVAC system and rehabilitate system with floor controls to adjust temperature on both levels and replace one door on the first floor of the Administration Building. SOLICITATION NO: 140P6321Q0045 LOCATION: Jewel Cave National Monument, Custer, SD 57751 MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $25,000 and $100,000 NAICS CODE: The associated NAICS code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors. The small business size standard is $16.5 million. NOTICE OF SET ASIDE: This project is set-aside for 100% Total Small Business. SCHEDULE: The government anticipates that work will be completed in 87 days including submittal period with work beginning in Aug 2021. The final performance start date is contingent on issuance of Notice to Proceed. SITE VISIT: Site visits are highly encouraged. A pre quote site visit will be scheduled at Jewel Cave National Memorial. Reference 52.236-27-Site Visit (Construction) once the solicitation is issued for specific date/time/location and tailored guidance due to COVID-19. The official solicitation package and its attachments will be issued on/around June 9, 2021 with responses due approximately 30 days after. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is a PRELIMINARY NOTICE of a solicitation that will follow. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) that will follow this notice is expected to result in a Firm Fixed Price construction contract. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice. The RFQ package, including applicable attachments will be posted http://www.sam.gov. No hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation will be provided. Offerors must have a DUNS number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award.
