PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed price contract for work to provide all labor, equipment and material necessary to remove propane fired furnace and air conditioner condenser replacing with two ductless mini split air conditioner and heater units in the Museum Storage building and Museum Office. Removing and disposing of existing venting and sealing off remaining vents making electrical changes to allow for proper installation of new ductless units. SOLICITATION NO: 140P6321Q0039 LOCATION: Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Keystone, SD 57751 MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Less than $25,000 NAICS CODE: The associated NAICS code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors. The small business size standard is $16.5 million. NOTICE OF SET ASIDE: This project is set-aside for 100% Total Small Business. SCHEDULE: The government anticipates that work will be completed in 30 days including submittal period with work beginning in mid-July 2021. The final performance start date is contingent on issuance of Notice to Proceed. SITE VISIT: Site visits are highly encouraged. A pre quote site visit will be scheduled at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Reference 52.236-27-Site Visit (Construction) once the solicitation is issued for specific date/time/location and tailored guidance due to COVID-19. The official solicitation package and its attachments will be issued on/around May 26, 2021 with responses due approximately 30 days after. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is a PRELIMINARY NOTICE of a solicitation that will follow. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) that will follow this notice is expected to result in a Firm Fixed Price construction contract. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice. The RFQ package, including applicable attachments will be posted https://beta.sam.gov. No hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation will be provided. Offerors must have a DUNS number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award.
