This notice is for informational purposes to make the marketplace aware of an upcoming solicitation and is not a request for proposals. The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3, 4, & 5, Midwest Regional Office Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO), intends to issue a solicitation for Remodel Visitor Center and Abandon Sewer System at Pipestone National Monument, Pipestone, Minnesota. General work will include the following: Provide everything necessary including supervision, certifications, licensing, labor, tools, materials, transportation, and equipment necessary for complete the three phases of this project: 1) Manhole Demolition and Sewer Main Abandonment 2) Demolition of Existing Comfort Station 3) Visitor Center Remodel, per the Scope of Work and any addendum. This procurement will be a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside and is open to all responsible Small Business sources qualified as 100% SDVOSB. A Site Visit will be scheduled, and Social Distancing guidelines shall be adhered to. Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price NAICS 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction; the Small Business Size Standard is $39.5 million. The Project Magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contract Period of Performance: Estimated at 140 days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. SITE VISIT: Site Visit location, date and time will be in the posted solicitation once issued. The Government anticipates awarding one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The project will be subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Bonds will be required as follows: Bid Guarantee - SF 24 at 20% of Contract price. Performance and Payment bonds - 100% of the contract price. Insurance will be required for this project. Be advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the process, based on decisions related to Department of the Interior (DOI) and National Park Service (NPS) changes. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about May 5, 2021 and will be posted on Contract Opportunities (https://beta.sam.gov/), formerly Federal Business Opportunities (https://www.fbo.gov/).
