GENERAL: The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior, anticipates issuing a solicitation for the project described below. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation; accordingly, no response is due at this time. Specific instructions on submitting proposals will be contained in the solicitation documents. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or around -6/22/2023. The entire solicitation package, including all attachments, will be available electronically at www.sam.gov Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. PROJECT SCOPE: The National Park Service (NPS) Cape Lookout National Seashore (CALO) is seeking qualified firms or organizations for the installation has a requirement to remove and replace a ferry dock. Contractor will remove the modular floating dock and will be responsible for its disposal. To facilitate the removal, the 70¿ gangway pilings will be extended to support a cross piece capable of lifting the gangway clear of the floating dock; height should be sufficient to insure it is not struck by the dock or railings at High tide plus 3¿. The floating modular dock will be replaced by painted steel barges that will be connected and serve as a floating dock and facilitate the ADA ramp and ferry passenger¿s egress. All barges will be connected so they float as one unit (see Concept Drawing). The contractor will provide all materials, equipment, personnel, and vessels required to complete the work. PROCUREMENT TYPE: The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract to meet this requirement. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition has been set-aside for small business concerns. Offers will be solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected.
