BISO Purchase/ deliver Split Rails & Posts: Purpose of Amendment 0003, Change in Specifications. Purpose of amendment 0002 is to provide responses to Vendor questions. Purpose of amendment 0001 is to provide responses to Vendor questions. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The National Park Service contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation to the vendor, providing the best value to the Government. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) 140P5323Q0006. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-92 and are available in full text through Internet access at http:// www.acquisition.gov/far/. Award shall be made to the responsive and responsible offeror submitting a proposal which conforms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. This requirement is set-aside for Total Small Business in accordance with FAR Subpart 19-502-2, and only qualified offeror¿s may submit a quote. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 238990, 321999. This solicitation will result in a contract within a period of (10) days. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation, please review the attachments posted. The acquisition is in support to Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area Oneida, TN REQUIREMENT: This contract is to supply and 3300 Split Rails 11 feet in length and an average circumference of no less than 10 inches and no greater than 15 inches: 121 round fence posts with an average diameter 4.5 inches to 6 inches must be untreated timbers: 242 rough cut rails 2 inches by 4 inches and 8 feet in length. Each section of fencing material must consist of a singular species. Wood species must be native to the Big South Fork and have natural weather and insect resistance. Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) or Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana) would be prime examples. Delivery Requirements: Delivery hours are Monday ¿ Friday, 7:00 AM ¿ 4:30 PM, excluding federal holidays. Delivery tickets are required and must be signed by the NPS receiving official. Contractor shall notify the park 24 hours prior to delivery. Vehicle operators must adhere to weight limits and all posted traffic regulations while traveling on Park Roads. Trucks and equipment shall be in good operation and maintenance. Any leaks or spills need to be cleaned up immediately using a spill kit or absorbent material.
